Introduction
By participating in the competition you are agreeing to these competition terms and conditions. The competition is being run by Mitsubishi Electric Europe B.V. (UK Branch) of Travellers Lane, Hatfield, Hertfordshire, AL10 8XB (“Mitsubishi Electric”).
Eligibility to Enter
The competition is open to all UK residents over 18 years of age. Mitsubishi Electric employees, their family members, agents or any third party directly associated with administration of the prize draw are excluded from the draw.
By entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and that you are eligible to receive any prizes that may be awarded to you.
The competition is completely free to enter and no purchase is necessary. For each prize draw, only one entry per person is permitted.
How to enter
Entry is via our website (wave.mitsubishielectric.co.uk/30-years-of-wave/). Once on our website click on a link to the “90s Quiz”, complete all questions, enter your name and email address to submit your entry.
The Prize
Monthly Prize
One entrant per calendar month will win a Virtual Electronic Digital Pet Key Chain Game with a value of £5.49. We have 4 to give away. The prize winner will be chosen at random by a computer process from all entrants during the preceding month.
Grand Prize
The winning prize will be a £100 Amazon Voucher. The prize winner will be will be chosen at random by a computer process from all entrants during the competition period (1st September 2023 – 31st December 2023).
The use of specific brands as prizes by Mitsubishi Electric does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement of such brands.
The prize is non-transferable and non-exchangeable, and no cash alternatives will be provided.
Mitsubishi Electric reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value if circumstances beyond its control require doing so.
Mitsubishi Electric’s decision on any aspect of the competition is final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
Monthly Prize Winner Announcement
The winner will be notified via email within two weeks of the calendar month ending. Mitsubishi Electric will make two attempts to contact the winner in this way.
If the winner does not respond to the emails informing them of their win within 14 days of the second message, they forfeit their right to the prize, and Mitsubishi Electric reserves the right to select and notify a new winner.
Grand Prize Winner Announcement
The winner will be notified via the email address provided on 10th January 2024.
Mitsubishi Electric will make two attempts to contact the winner via email.
If the winner does not respond to the emails informing them of their win within 14 days of the second email, they forfeit their right to the prize, and Mitsubishi Electric reserves the right to select and notify a new winner.
Delivery of the Prize
The winner will allow 14 days for the prize to be delivered, otherwise alternative collection or delivery arrangements can be made through mutual agreement.
Data Protection and Publicity
You agree that any personal information that you provide when entering the competition will be used by Mitsubishi Electric for the purposes of administering the competition and for marketing purposes (if opted-in) as specified in our Privacy Policy.
Mitsubishi Electric is required to either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation, Mitsubishi Electric will send the surname and county of prize winners [and, if applicable copies of their winning entries] to any who emails jettowel@meuk.mee.com or writes to Wave Hand Dryers, Mitsubishi Electric Europe BV, Travellers Lane, Hatfield, Hertfordshire, AL10 8XB (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within one month from the prize draw date stated above. If you object to any or all of your surname and county being published or made available, please contact Mitsubishi Electric Hand Dryers via jettowel@meuk.mee.com. In such circumstances, Mitsubishi Electric must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
Limitation of Liability
Insofar as is permitted by law, Mitsubishi Electric will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of Mitsubishi Electric or its agents or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
General
All entrants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. Mitsubishi Electric reserves the right to refuse entry, or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
Mitsubishi Electric reserves the right, at any time and without prior notice, to cancel, suspend or amend the competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
These terms and conditions and this competition are governed by English law. If any entrants to this competition wish to take court proceedings, then they must do this in the courts of the United Kingdom.
