What is a Low Maintenance Hand Dryer

Hand dryers are an important part of your hygiene process.  Regular cleaning and servicing of key components is important in ensuring that they work reliably and efficiently in the long term.

Cleaning and Maintenance Regimes for Hand Dryers

Mitsubishi Electric Wave hand dryers feature an ultra-efficient motor connected to a high-speed fan system that creates a narrow jet of air to dry the user’s hands. The exterior of the dryer is manufactured using materials with anti-bacterial properties that mean they can be easily cleaned with a cloth and regular cleaning liquids.

Caring for Hand Dryers

The Mitsubishi Electric Wave i01 hand dryer features an optional easy to access Viraguard air filter.  This needs to be replaced periodically to ensure uninterrupted airflow into the dryer.  Dust build up on the filter can block airflow that will increase the power required in operation and could lead to overheating and damage the motor.  Replacing the filter is straightforward.

The Mitsubishi Electric Wave i01 is a “hands-in” design that collects water from the user’s hands in a small reservoir.  The easily removed excess water pod has a capacity of 800ml and needs to be emptied after around 800 uses.
